Cimeter is a weapon used in battle. Enos said that the Lamanites’ “skill was in the bow, and in the cimeter, and the ax” (Enos 1:20). A speaker armed people “with bows, and with arrows, with swords, and with cimeters” before going forth against the Lamanites (Mosiah 9:16).
The Nephites prepared to meet the Amlicites with “swords, and with cimeters, and with bows, and with arrows” (Alma 2:12). The army of Zerahemnah had “only their swords and their cimeters, their bows and their arrows, their stones and their slings” (Alma 43:20). The Nephites struck the Lamanites with “their swords and their cimeters” (Alma 43:37).
Zerahemnah delivered his “sword and his cimeter, and his bow” into Moroni’s hands (Alma 44:8). Men had been appointed to arm others “with swords, and with cimeters, and all manner of weapons of war” and send them against the Lamanites (Alma 60:2).
