Bones are body parts of men and beasts. A group seeking Zarahemla discovered a land “covered with bones of men, and of beasts,” with ruins of buildings of every kind (Mosiah 8:8).
Many died in the wilderness of their wounds and were devoured by beasts and vultures, and “their bones have been found, and have been heaped up on the earth” (Alma 2:38). Ten more fell by the sword with their ten thousand each, and their “flesh, and bones, and blood lay upon the face of the earth” (Mormon 6:15).
