Winds are things that “have gone forth out of my mouth”. The speaker said, “ye cannot cross this great deep” without preparation against waves, winds, and floods (Ether 2:24-25).
The Lord God caused “a furious wind” to blow “upon the face of the waters, towards the promised land”. “They were tossed upon the waves of the sea before the wind” (Ether 6:5).
“I prayed unto the Lord; and after I had prayed the winds did cease”. “The storm did cease, and there was a great calm” (1 Nephi 18:21).
