Waters are bodies of water identified as Sebus, Sidon, and Ripliancum. Ammon “stood to contend with those who stood by the waters of Sebus,” where those men were “not a few” (Alma 17:34).
Lehi and his men pursued others, who were “driven by Lehi into the waters of Sidon” and crossed the waters of Sidon. Lehi retained his armies on the bank of the river Sidon so that they “should not cross” (Alma 43:40).
A man came to “the waters of Ripliancum,” which are interpreted as “large, or to exceed all.” Shiz pitched his tents near those waters, and battle came on the morrow (Ether 15:8).
