Fine apparel is clothing called “very fine apparel” by Mormon. He says that people lift themselves up “unto the wearing of very fine apparel, unto envying, and strifes” (Mormon 8:36).
Mormon says, “ye do love money, and your substance, and your fine apparel,” more than “the poor and the needy, the sick and the afflicted” (Mormon 8:37). He addresses churches that “have become polluted because of the pride of your hearts” (Mormon 8:36).
