Feasts are appointed occasions associated with music and wine. At feasts are “the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine,” while those present “regard not the work of the Lord” (2 Nephi 15:12).
Lamoni’s father, king over all the land, appointed “a great feast” in the land of Nephi. He asked Lamoni why he had not come “on that great day when I made a feast unto my sons, and unto my people” (Alma 18:9; Alma 20:9-12).
