Chastity and virtue are qualities called “most dear and precious above all things.” Many daughters of the Lamanites were taken prisoners, and they were deprived of “chastity and virtue” by people in Moriantum (Moroni 9:9).
The Lord God delights “in the chastity of women” and says, “whoredoms are an abomination before me” (Jacob 2:28). The Lamanites had not forgotten the commandment that they should have “save it were one wife,” have no concubines, and commit no whoredoms among them (Jacob 3:5).
