Das Land Heth (Mesoamerika Geographiemodell)

The land of Heth was a region situated in the northern territories, noted for its role in a significant period of internal conflict among the Jaredites. This land became the residence of Jared, who is also referred to as Jared2 in some accounts, after he initiated an uprising against his father, Omer, who was the reigning king at the time. Jared’s relocation to the land of Heth marked the beginning of his campaign to win over a portion of the kingdom through sedition and rhetoric. His ability to persuade and gather followers was such that he successfully managed to control half of the kingdom (Ether 8:2). The land of Heth thus symbolizes a pivotal turning point in Jaredite politics, characterized by division and the persuasive power of ambitious leadership.
